Well if “ how freaking long” is a nice way to ask a question, then my answer is a nice answer to the process.
I respond with the same attitude people ask questions with.
Just like my initial response was to Cal asking about Snake, I answered nice, he asked an honest question, and I gave an honest answer.
I agree, a snake would be a great conversation piece. Unfortunately, our conference is not set up yet, so if any snake comes out, it would not be official as our conference will be 2-3 new leagues
What is twitter??? Never used it. Sounds like we have that in common.
Wow. Had no idea youd react so personally. . but, yea. Too bad for you then i guess. It certainly wasnt meant with any offense but if ya want to read a tone into it and get all offended like a millenial at the "im offended" olympics then have at it.. Yes. How long can it take to freaking drop 2 and add 3...?

You already know who is entering and leaving. Your individual school dual meet schedules dont need to be known to figure out which teams are going where in the CIF snake. Admin and ADs are still at work the same as teachers, so thats a bit of an excuse there...

Why do i want to know? Curiosity. Just something to do wrestling related. Nope. Not gonna scout a thing... Why? Scouting isn't my thing until it actually matters and it doesn't matter in April.
Ok know it all.
Sounds good twitter fingers.
I’m done, I didn’t say anything offensive to you online, and I don’t do that crap, so these statements are about as much as you get out of me. You can continue, to be an online troll.
Feel free to talk to me in person whenever you want, I do dont this millennial twitter back and forth.

I had a long conversation with Alan Clinton via text on the 17th and he indicated that the snake should be out later this week.

Just for clarification, how long is a "long conversation via text"??

Are we talking 20 replies each? Are we talking big chunk texts instead of a few words at a time?

Also, who is Alan Clinton?

ummm. back and forth texts for a bit about me looking into hosting team CIF. Then asking about the snake... Alan is the Mayor of Wrestling Town in OC... AD/HC @ Servite. Long standing member of the CIF SS Advisory Committee among others...

Cal,
RainCross Conference hasn’t set their leagues up, so snake cannot be made yet.

RainCross conference?
Where is that?

I suppose everyone is too busy to have a athletic directors meeting for 34 mutes with the schools being closed and no athletic events being held.

I totally understand!

Cal

They have met, i know the Covid things slowed some meetings down, as the meeting meant for this got shifted to what was gonna happen to spring.
Now they are stuck.
There is discussion on what is best, and it’s going back and forth. Teams have left, teams have entered. The size changed, which changes how you wanna break them up.
Also, the way CIF accepted to break up the leagues in last rotation, is no longer being accepted, so intial draft got rejected.
When you are talking about 15 schools it’s not as easy as 8 or 9 schools, since CIF doesn’t have a qualifier number for 15, if not it would be easy like the other conferences.

Well answered Panther.
Thank You for the intel.

It isn't that often we get some one on here who can answer a question completely.

Just a thought...Every Monday at 9:00am our science department meets from  home on Google Hangout. There are 17 of us as well as the principal.  Perhaps those Athletic Directors and Mr. Wigod can do the same? It seems to me that the CIF office often makes unilateral decisions that are binding.

I don’t think meeting is the problem anymore, it’s coming to agreement.
I think CIF has been easy to get ahold of. The issue came in an approval to how the league was allowed to do things, but that commish passed away, and now they don’t allow it. So the league has had to come up with a new way to do it, and there has been some disagreement.

Cal,
Raincross leagues are set, and given to CIF
So snake might be coming soon
Don’t have teams, but Raincross indy leagues will be a 9 team Ivy League, and a 6 team Sunbelt league

I think there is more to this story  8)  It’s starts with Rob WYgod from SS CIF office being a pile.  I am one of his biggest critics and former member of his advisory committee so I know what a weasel he is and how the CIF office operates.   Because Rob does not like me he has turned that into a dislike of my brother who posted on this thread above.  He does not want to support how AD’s  separate leagues because it might have the name Lawson in the proposal.  Always so much more to a story

You all acting like there is going to be a full season...no way in 2020-21.

At best, a short 4 week season with an emphasis on duals keeping people separated. Then a 4 week playoff of league, CIF, Masters, State.

If anyone thinks in flu season they'll do 10 weeks of 50 team 32 man brackets and stuff the place with people, I just don't see it.

Whatever the rules for theaters, restaurants, live events, etc. are will be applied, with the possibility of no fan base watching...which of course creates a revenue issue...so now LIVE STREAMING might be the way of the future.

Even dual meets could be live streamed this year. Weighins will include fever checking and maybe other restrictions. Maybe even face mask wrestling, like the ones for wrestlers with sensitive noses.

It's a new world...

Paul,
It is a new fake world.  The day the election is over the virus will be over.  Made a trip to Oakdale this weekend, they ha e not even heard of Covid 19 yet.  High School kids are the safest demographic we have, let them play and stop being soft.  America was not built on softness!

If only there were an organization that had the brains and vision to set up a season outside of the schools. Any ideas, Lawson? Smart people move up in a down market. I could see a HUGE demand for SCWAY events in the coming year.
