In the CIF SS there are 9 units that make up the master association of the SCOWA - San Luis Obispo, Channel Islands, South Bay, South Central, Orange County, High Desert, Foothill, Inland, and Coachella.  Each unit has assignors that distribute the events in their area to the officials that belong to that unit.  If an Unit is short of officials they can ask for help from other associations.  The Los Angeles CIF is covered by the SS associations that surround it.  The San Diego CIF is it's own section with its own assignor and they will help out or ask for help.
Each section has its own pay-scale and the units that make up each section are responsible for their own training.
Currently virtually every unit is short of the number of officials that it takes to cover all of the wrestling events that are being scheduled.  With girls wrestling growing at the rate that it is next season will be very difficult to cover all of the mats being used.  If you know of anyone who would like to be an official or would benefit from some officiating experience please encourage them to try it out.
