Hey everyone, I just want to clarify with all who may misinterpret my post(s). I am not against Gracie. I am just a coach that appreciates good matchups and was hoping to see this at State. In my opinion,  it is one of the best matchups I have seen in a while. I am a huge fan of both of them. Gracie is the best we have seen, hands down. Cheyenne is the up and coming superstar, with the tenacity to make a statement. So my apologies for anyone thinking otherwise. Have a great weekend. See you at State!

I don't think it would be a bad idea if all the qualifying tournaments were held at the same time so that this kind of stuff happens less  :-\

What Kind of stuff? Please Explain.
I wish CIF would have all qualifying events held on the same weekend.
There has been a few times our Central Section wrestlers have been left out of the state seeding process because our qualifying event was held too late in the season. I will now be working on changing some of these issues as new Girls Central Section Advisor.

And for what the Selma line-up will be for the post-season is for me to choose. Our staff picks our best line-up that will score the most bonus points. For coaches to call out young students and accuse them of running is very WRONG.  Cheyenne is a great wrestler, she had 2 cracks at Gracie and fell short both times. I wish Cheyenne the best of luck on chasing her own 4 state titles.

If you have any further comments on this issue or theories, please address them using my name Sam Lopez.
