I am curious, I know different sections will have different numbers, but assuming that coaches from all over the state frequent this message board maybe we can get a good picture of what the state looks like.

Valencia High School “Six Planets” FS Wrestling Tournament

Where:  Valencia HS
        500 N. Bradford Ave
        Placentia CA. 92870

When: May 1, 2021

Format: Frosh/Soph 16 man double elimination tournament, Freshmen and Sophomores only. No Varsity Lettermen

Weigh-Ins: 7:00-8:00 am

Wrestling starts at 10:00 am sharp on four mats

Entry Fee: $250

Extra wrestlers: We will fill up a 16 man bracket if there is room we will get them in.

Weight Classes: 108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 147, 154, 162, 172, 184, 197, 222 and 287

Awards: Team 1st, 2nd, 3rd
               Individual 1st 2nd and 2 3rd

         64-man Double-Elimination Format

401 S Palm St
La Habra, CA 90631

When:         Friday March 26 – Saturday March 27th 2021

Weight Classes:   108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 147, 154, 162, 172, 184, 195, 222, 287

Weigh-ins:      Friday March 26th at 7:00-8:00 am
         
         Saturday March 27th at 7:00-8:00 am    +1 lb. additional allowance
         
Wrestling:      Begins 10:00 am Friday, and 9:00 am Saturday 64-man double elimination format

Line-ups & Seeding:   All line-ups and Seeding info must be registered on the TMI website (www.tmi.0catch.com) by Thursday March 26 at 3:00 pm.  A seeding committee will meet at 6:00pm. If you would like to be on the committee please contact Coach Rodriguez 714-318-2077

Girls Wrestling / Qualify for CIF?

Nobody is talking about this but I wanted to ask to be sure it was accurate. In order to participate in CIF this year the girls must qualify through a league tournament, if a team is not part of a league their wrestlers cannot participate in CIF. You need a minimum of four teams to make up a league. Is this correct or was I misinformed.
